At the invitation of Academician Tian He, Director of the Academic Committee of the University, Professor Sun Licheng, an Academician of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering, Professor of Molecular Devices at the Royal Institute of Technology, and Director of the Joint Research Center for Molecular Devices of Dalian University of Technology and Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, paid a visit to ECUST to have academic exchange from March 20th to March 21st, 2019. President Qu Jingping and Vice President Xin Zhong met with Professor Sun Licheng during his visit. Professor Sun Licheng delivered an academic report entitled “Water Splitting Catalysis: From Natural to Artificial Photosynthesis” to our teachers and students. The academic report was hosted by Professor Gong Xueqing, Deputy Dean of the School of Graduates of ECUST. Academicians Tian He, Professor Hua Jianli, Professor Zhao Chunchang and Professor Wu Yongzhen attended the academic report and had a heated discussion. At the end of the report, Professor Sun Licheng and the attendees had an interactive exchange, illustrating and answering all the hot and difficult issues that teachers and students were concerned with in a comprehensive and meticulous way.
