At the invitation of Kevedo National Technical University and Simia Weihua International School，Ecuador and Inter-American University, Panama, ECUST delegation, led by Vice President Xin Zhong paid an official visit to the above-mentioned universities from August 14th to 22nd , 2019.  During the visit, ECUST Vice President met with Ms. Arteaga Serrano Rosalia, the former Ecuadorian politician, Mr. Cheng Guoyou, Chinese Ambassador to Ecuador , Mr. Zhang Tao, Chinese Consul General in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Mr. Liang Gongbi, Chairman of the Oriental Group and a Famous Overseas Chinese Merchant in of Ecuador's and Mr. Jiang Wei, Director of the Political Office of the Chinese Embassy in Panama.

    This cooperative and pioneering visit laid the foundation for practical cooperation between ECUST and its partners in Ecuador and Panama, and set out the cooperation plan with other Universities in South America. To follow up, ECUST will cooperate with  the University of Ecuador by setting up practical joint graduate training program, establishing joint-constructing laboratories,  carrying out joint teacher training, scientific research cooperation and personnel training cooperation on researches of high-value medicinal plants in the Amazon region.
