Nature Communications Publishes ECUST Research Breakthrough in the Field of Promoting Cell Adhesion of New Materials

Recently, the research group of Professor Liu Runhui from School of Materials Science and Engineering, ECUST discovered the β -amino acid polymer material with the function of promoting cell adhesion by simulating natural cell adhesion polypeptide, and analyzed the related mechanism. The research article was published in the international authoritative academic journal Nature Communications 2021, 12, 562 with the title of “Dual Mechanism β-Amino Acid Polymers Promoting Cell Adhesion”. 

This article is first-authored by Chen Qi, a doctorate candidate of School of Materials Science and Engineering, and corresponding-authored by Professor Liu Runhui. This research has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Chen Qi was funded by “Zhang Jiangshu Outstanding Doctorate Candidates” the Key Cultivation Plan of East China University of Science and Technology .
