Journal of American Chemical Society Publishes ECUST New Discovery of Active Growth of Polymer Micelles “Lying Flat”

In recent years, the research team of Lin Jiaping from the School of Materials Science and Technology, ECUST, has devoted itself to the research of supramolecular reactions based on micelles. Recently, the supramolecular reaction mechanism of “lying flat” activity discovered by the team is similar to the formation and deposition process of amyloid fibrils, which can provide useful information for the research of etiology, mechanism and treatment of related diseases such as Alzheimer disease and Parkinson disease. The related research article is published in Journal of American Chemical Society (J. Am. Chem. Soc.) under the title of “Anchorage-Dependent Living Supramolecular Self-Assembly of Polymeric Micelles”.

The research work was completed by Doctoral candidate Tang Zhengmin and teacher Gao Liang at the School of Materials Science and Engineering    under the guidance of Professor Lin Jiaping, Professor Cai Chunhua and Professor Gerald Guerin.
