Journal of American Chemical Society Publishes ECUST New Progress in Research of Superbacteria Fluorescence Sensor Array with Molecular Engineering

Recently, the team and collaborators of Professor He Xiaopeng from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, ECUST and the Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center, ECUST jointly developed the research progress of modifying traditional iron chelating agents based on molecular engineering strategy, and then constructing multicolor fluorescence sensor array of superbacteria, the research article of which was published online in Journal of the American Chemical Society.

Dr. Hu Xile, a young teacher from the School of Chemical Molecular Engineering, Dr. Adam Sedgwick and Dr. Daniel Mangel from the University of Texas at Austin, USA are the co-first authors of this paper, and Professor He Xiaopeng, Professor Jonathan Sessler and Dr. Adam Sedgwick are the co-corresponding authors of this article. The research work has been under careful guidance from Academician Tian He. The optical performance test and microbial experiment of the research are mainly completed with the assistance of Shang Ying and Gan Huiqi, Ph.D. students in the School of Chemistry, ECUST. This research was financially supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Frontier Science Center of Ministry of Material Biology and Dynamic Chemistry, Shanghai Science and Technology Major Project, and International Cooperation Project of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission.
