German Applied Chemistry Publishes ECUST Latest Reserch of Electrostatic Induced Crystal Rearrangement of Pporous Organic Cage Membrane

Recently, Professor Xu Zhi from the School of Chemical Engineering, ECUS has put forward a strategy of designing porous organic cage (POC) membrane with heterostructure by electrostatic induced crystal rearrangement. By using the electrostatic attraction of ionic liquid, disordered organic cage molecules are induced to rearrange into uniform and defect-free crystal layers, and thus the efficient capture of CO2. The related research article was published in German Applied Chemistry with the title of “Electrostatic-Induced Crystal-Rearrangement of Porous Organic Cage Membrane for CO2 Capture”, and were selected as a hot paper.

The article is first authored by doctoral candidate Qu Kai of 2018 class and doctoral candidate Xu Jipeng of 2021 class of School of Chemistry. The article is corresponding authored by Professor Xu Zhi of School of Chemistry, ECUST and co-corresponding authored by Professor Jin Wanqin and Associate Professor Huang Kang of the School of Chemical Engineering of Nanjing University of Technology. The research received support from Professor Guo Xuhong and Professor Lian Cheng, and has been financially supported by the National Key R&D Program and Natural Science Foundation.
