On November 9th,2023, Carolyn Evans, President of Griffith University in Australia, and Sarah Todd, Vice President, paid a visit to ECUST. President Xuan Fuzhen met with the Australian guests and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.

The two universities have a good foundation for cooperation. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation this time is a new starting point for the formal establishment of friendly and mutually beneficial cooperative relations, and also an important link for mutual learning, tolerance and communication between Chinese and Australian education. It is hoped that on the basis of deepening scientific research cooperation in the field of new materials, the two sides will further expand cooperation areas, enhance the level of cooperation, strengthen the cultivation of students' internationalization ability, and promote the pragmatic development of China-Australia cooperation in the field of education. It is hoped that the two universities will take the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation as an opportunity to further deepen academic exchanges and cooperation in the fields of life and health, new materials, actively promote the exchange of visits between teachers and students, and promote wide-ranging and multi-level cooperation.

The two sides also reached preliminary cooperation intentions on scientific research cooperation in the field of intelligent bio-manufacturing, international undergraduate multi-degree training programs, and joint training of doctoral students.
